Garden Delight

It must be the cold winter weather today, but right now I am loving all the relaxed and 'loved up' weddings coming our way...there is something really delightful about a wedding where the most beautiful detail of the day is the couples' genuine happiness. I think I am drawn to these relaxed weddings now because of the years I had of setting up lavish weddings with all the trimmings. It's a bit like the way I just love a bundle of anemones picked from my garden in an old jar, but I can't stand 'OTT' arranged flowers in my house! The very talented photographer Lucy Leonardi sent me a few pics from Kate and Daniel's garden wedding with some fantastic DIY ideas. I love Lucy's style and sense of fun when she shoots weddings - I am sure this will bring a little sunshine to your day as it did to mine.

Stunning Quilling

I absolutely love this beautiful marriage certificate found via Design*Sponge. The calligraphy is by Carole Foster and the stunning quilling was made by Ann Martin. It's certainly worthy of a beautiful frame to cherish for ever.

Pretty Simple

I have seen some amazing weddings come past my desk while we have been working on our spring issue! Here is one I really wanted to share with you - Rowena and Chris had a beautiful and relaxed wedding...I just love their unique bouquets. Those who know me will know that flowers are my 'thing' and I have to say these bouquets by Lotus Flowers caught my eye. There is quite an art in making flowers seem relaxed and loosely arranged and when done well there is nothing more perfect than an imperfect bouquet. Of course credit where credit is due, the whole day was captured perfectly by the very talented Karalee from Angelsmith Photography.

Rowena looked perfect in her Lisa Ho dress.

Rowena and Chris had the sweetest Cake Stories cake.

Little Bow Peep

A clutch this pretty would make such a statement. Bow's are a hot ticket right now. Valentino certainly knows a thing or two about statement pieces. Imagine this with a cute pair of red pumps. I'm in love! Available online at www.net-a-porter.com

The Best Bows

A big thank you to Emma from The Hen's Nest who let us in on the gorgeous Twilili, a new ribbon company who are soon to launch their range and their website. Their sister company Bubblefish are promoting them as 'luxurious personalised ribbon design'. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see their products. Guess we'll all have to be patient!

Necklace Heaven

It's true, I am in love, in love with Elva Fields. I've blogged before and no doubt I'll blog again. Her pieces... well, I'm lost for words. If jewellery is your thing then one of her beautiful pieces would make a simply perfect accent to your look. I can imagine choosing the gown to go with the necklace rather than choosing the necklace to go with the gown. Each handmade piece features vintage elements wich makes them eco-friendly and super unique. They're truly pieces of art. Many of the pieces are one off and over 40 new pieces have been popped on her website for summer as of today so if you don't want to miss out get in quick. Once they're gone they're gone. Visit shop.elvafields.com for range details.

Paper Petals

How sweet are these Blom Paper Flowers from Upon a Fold? As they suggest these sweet little blooms can be used to decorate gifts and they would make a great alternative tablecentre. AUD $19.95 + postage for a set of 15 flowers, florist wire and gift tags.

Allow plenty of time to visit this lovely site – it is one of my absolute favourites and a fantastic resource for paper goods.

If you're looking for something a little bit different in relation to your wedding stationery Engraving Plus could be perfect for you. Specialising in unique custom invitation and stationery pieces made from acrylic, timber and card every little detail is considered. The lovely Natalie sent me across some pictures of their Snowy Winter Branches invitation, which is a custom designed, frosted acrylic A6 invitation. A perfect save-the-date reminder! Packaged in an invitation box, custom covered and lined in natural mulberry tissue and addressed with a timber label it'd make quite the surprise to receive one of these in your letterbox.
