Island Dreaming

As the year comes to an end I always find myself daydreaming about holidays and places I would love to visit. One of those places is Santorini - especially if I could stay somewhere like this! Perivolas is a world-class small luxury inn perched on the cliffs high above the Aegean Sea. It is only a short walk from Oia, one of the most charming villages on the island, and offers a tranquil oasis far removed from the stresses of everyday life. Sounds perfect for the ultimate honeymoon! The accomodation, pool, location and view are all amazing - but I think the best bit is the breakfast which includes apple pie, cookies, pastires, fruit and greek yogurt - wouldn't it be lovely to start every day with apple pie!!

Top This

I am a bit of a sucker for vintage finds so I was thrilled to find Alice's Looking Glass on Etsy. Amongst the gorgeous array of natural-coloured paper goods and decor finds, are these two vintage cake toppers.

They are so sweet and pretty.

Sweet Stationery

The talented Anna Bond from Rifle Paper Co. has just launched her new online shop. It is filled with a beautiful range of greeting cards, prints and invitations. I found these sweet recipe cards which would work really well for a kitchen tea party. They cost $8USD for 12 plus postage.

These custom made program fans are just gorgeous!

The Scent of Christmas

I'm sure most of you all remember back to the good, old days of scratch & sniff cards. I remember having a hot pink, bubblegum scented scratch & sniff slap-band, which I thought was the coolest! Melangerie NYC have revived the scratch & sniff phenomenon with the cutest Christmas cards ever! I'm simply dying to get my hands on these! In Sweet & Minty Candy Canes, Gingerbread Fresh From the Oven and Pine Needles & Winter Snow they would make the perfect addition to the perfect Chrissie gift for that special someone. Available at Melangeire NYC's Etsy store for $22USD for a pack of six (each pack contains two of each scent). Visit www.melangerienyc.com for more details about their great pieces.

Earlier this week we received an email introducing us to Wedding Nouveau - a site that focuses on intercultural weddings. Having just spent hours searching through their incredible inspiration boards, I think I am well and truly addicted. This lovely site takes a fresh look at weddings from all cultures. Pink Sky at Night, Shepherds Delight

One colour we see popping up on maids all the time is pretty pale pink. Whether it be a true dusty pink, bright as fairy floss or a washed out, nearly white, pale pink it's a colour that many girls flock to when they're tying the knot. I fell in love with this pretty Stella McCartney dress on Net-A-Porter and thought what an ideal bridesmaid's dress it would make. The sheer netting at the top adds some edge to an otherwise classic, pretty dress with the pleating detail taking it from pretty to simply perfect. If you're wanting to glam it up a bit try pinning a brooch just underneath the bust pleat. How divine! Visit www.net-a-porter.com to buy online.

Here's some ideas as to how Style Guide bride's are using pale pink on their maids and flower girls. In all shapes, sizes and shades it will add a touch of romance to your day.

Kate Patterson & Dominic Etheridge's wedding featured in 'Paradise Found' in issue 12. I loved the waist pleats of Kate's bridesmaids dresses. A great detail that flatters almost any body shape. Maids dresses from Forever New, photography by Infinity Photography, bouquets by Trisara.

Tania Ohannessian & Simon Goubran's wedding featured in 'Love in the City' in issue 11. Mono-shoulder dresses are very popular at the moment and with a gorgeous shoulder detail like a bow they will certainly stand out. Maids dresses by Brides of Bromley +61 (0)418 478 847, photography by Tom Psomotragos Photography, bouquets by Indulge Floral Design.

Julia Galvan & Marc Johnstone's wedding featured in 'A Glamorous Event' slso in issue 11. We had so many enquiries from readers asking us where Julia got her simply gorgeous flower girl dresses from. It turns out Julia designed them herself and got them made in Singapore. I love the frilled hem! Flower girl dresses designed by bride and made in singapore, photography by Blumenthal Photography, bouquets by Florid Flowers.
